When Two of the World’s Biggest Spirits Companies Need Each Other, Something Has Fundamentally Changed

On 26 March 2026, Bloomberg reported that Pernod Ricard and Brown-Forman were in merger talks. Both companies confirmed the discussions within hours. Brown-Forman shares jumped 21% before settling around 9.5% up on the day. Pernod’s fell.
