Rémy Cointreau Q4 FY26: The Quarterly Number Is the Smallest Part of the Story.

Rémy Cointreau reported Q4 FY26 organic sales growth of +8.9% on 30 April 2026, bringing full year FY26 organic sales to +0.2% on revenues of €935.3 million. The Q4 number ends three consecutive years of organic decline. The full year number is the first positive organic growth since FY22-23. Both are significant – and both require careful reading before they can be used as evidence of a genuine recovery.

The +8.9% Q4 organic result came in below analyst consensus expectations of +10.1% for the group and +17.5% for the Cognac division specifically. The +15.5% Q4 Cognac growth that drove the headline was supported by a very weak comparison base, a favourable Chinese New Year calendar effect, and the normalisation of China Travel Retail disruptions that had weighed on H1. Jefferies analyst Ed Mundy described the performance as “broadly in line with expectations with good recovery in China versus easy comparatives and some signs of underlying improvement in the US.” Barclays noted the result was timing-driven, warning it “does little to change the broader narrative of timing-driven volatility and still challenging underlying demand conditions.” The Q4 number is real. The structural question it leaves open is whether the recovery is durable or whether it reflects base effects that will become less favourable as the year progresses.

“After three years marked by a complex environment, it is time for Rémy Cointreau to stand out within its industry. RC Forward Plan aims to give us the means to generate our own value creation momentum and thus become less dependent on macroeconomic cycles. It also seeks to strengthen the entrepreneurial and conquering mindset of our teams, building on the group’s culture while instilling greater discipline, rigour and performance focus. Our ambition is clear: to sustainably improve profitability in order to generate additional resources to reinvest in growth.”
