US wine and spirits depletions: volume down 6.5% through June 2026 as the narrowing trend continues

US wine and spirits depletions declined 6.5% by volume in the 12 months to June 2026, according to WSWA’s SipSource Q2 2026 report published on 12 August. The figure marks the third consecutive month of narrowing declines – down from 6.9% in May and 7.1% in April. Revenue followed the same trajectory, narrowing to a 5.5% decline from 5.9% in May. WSWA noted that the most recent three-month figures outperformed the rolling 12-month results, suggesting the market is stabilising rather than recovering. Francis Creighton, WSWA President and CEO, described it as “a market finding greater stability, not one that has turned a corner just yet.”
