The UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office has confirmed it is assessing complaints related to James Watt and BrewDog following reports that former Equity Punks shareholders received unsolicited emails from Watt as part of his attempt to buy back BrewDog from Tilray Brands. An ICO spokeswoman confirmed: “We are aware of an incident involving BrewDog and we are assessing the information provided.” The ICO has made no finding that Watt, his new company Second Best, or any other party has breached data protection law. The assessment is at an early stage.
