Sujay Wasan is joining Diageo from Procter & Gamble to lead Asia Pacific and Global Travel Retail

Diageo has appointed Sujay Wasan as President of its Asia Pacific and Global Travel Retail business, filling the role vacated when John O’Keeffe moved to become CEO and President of Diageo North America in April 2026. The appointment was confirmed on 3 August 2026. Wasan joins Diageo from Procter & Gamble, where he spent nearly 30 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Regional Leader of North America – a role described by Sky News as heading P&G’s oral care business in North America. Diageo CEO Sir Dave Lewis said: “We’re delighted that Sujay will be joining Diageo. He is a global leader with a proven track record of consistently delivering breakthrough business results.” Asia Pacific and Global Travel Retail accounts for approximately 20% of Diageo’s global revenues.
