Specialist Investment Firm Activequity Has Secured a Majority Shareholding in Alliance Wine.

Activequity, a specialist investment firm focused on the premium wine trade, has secured a majority shareholding in Alliance Wine, the Scottish wine importer and wholesaler founded in 1984 by Christian Bouteiller. Bouteiller is retiring after more than four decades leading the business. Alliance Wine’s management team retains a significant shareholding in the company. Fergal Tynan MW, who has been with Alliance since 2009 and has served as Managing Director since 2012, takes full executive control of the business under the new structure.
