Southern Glazer’s and the FTC Have Reached a Tentative Settlement. The Largest US Distributor’s Pricing Practices Were the Issue.

Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits and the Federal Trade Commission have reached a tentative settlement of the FTC’s lawsuit alleging the distributor engaged in unlawful price discrimination. Both parties filed a joint stipulation on 18 June 2026 in the US District Court for the Central District of California, stating they had signed “an agreement in principle and executed a memorandum of understanding that, subject to conversion with additional terms into a final order, would resolve the claims in this lawsuit.” Judge Fred W. Slaughter approved the stipulation on 22 June, staying the case until 6 August 2026 to allow the parties to finalise terms.
