Court documents filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas following Republic National Distributing Company’s Chapter 11 filing on 26 July 2026 have revealed the full scale of the distributor’s financial collapse and provided a detailed account of the supplier relationships and commercial pressures that drove it. The filings, reviewed by the Lexington Herald-Leader which closely follows the US spirits industry, show that RNDC has more than $400 million in general unsecured claims owed to more than 100,000 creditors. The court documents confirm estimated assets of between $500 million and $1 billion and liabilities of between $1 billion and $10 billion.
