Next Century Spirits has acquired Chicken Cock Whiskey and three other brands from Grain & Barrel

Next Century Spirits, a North Carolina-based spirits producer and marketer, has acquired four brands from Grain & Barrel Spirits: Chicken Cock Whiskey, Dixie Southern Vodka, Elvis Whiskey, and EG Booz. The transaction was announced on 4 August 2026. As part of the deal, Next Century also takes ownership of two Chicken Cock hospitality destinations in Kentucky – the Circa 1856 brand home in Bardstown, which opened in June 2024 and includes a microdistillery, cocktail bar, and retail space, and a sipping room and speakeasy in Louisville’s NuLu neighbourhood. Financial terms were not disclosed.
