Diageo cut 1,922 jobs in its 2026 fiscal year, reducing its global workforce by more than 6%. The figure is disclosed in Diageo’s annual report for the year ended 30 June 2026, which was published on 18 August. The company reported an average of 27,938 full-time equivalent employees in FY2026, down from 29,860 in FY2025. Diageo declined to comment when approached by Reuters for detail on the cuts.
