Luca Mariano’s 529-acre Kentucky campus is changing hands for $19.5 million

Nevada-based wine and spirits holding company Apogee 21 has been selected as the successful bidder in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of Luca Mariano Distillery in Danville, Kentucky. The total acquisition consideration is $19.5 million, per The Spirits Business confirming the final court-approved deal. The transaction includes the distillery’s 529-acre campus, all production facilities, real estate, brand assets, and approximately 6,600 ageing bourbon barrels. Court approval is required to finalise the sale. Apogee’s parent entity is Apogee 21 Holdings Inc., a publicly traded wine and spirits company led by CEO Mark Newman, who has more than 40 years of experience in California wine retail and distribution.
