Global Brands, the UK drinks company whose portfolio includes VK, Shake Baby Shake, Hooch, and Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, has filed Companies House accounts confirming a 93% collapse in pre-tax profit, which the company attributed in large part to the impact of the UK’s Extended Producer Responsibility regulations. Pre-tax profit fell to approximately £233,000 for the year, down from approximately £3.4 million in the prior period – a decline the company linked directly to approximately £2 million in EPR compliance costs.
