Endeavour Group is selling the wineries behind three of its biggest wine brands

Endeavour Group (ASX: EDV), Australia’s largest drinks retailer and the owner of Dan Murphy’s and BWS, confirmed on 30 July 2026 that it is selling the majority of its winery and vineyard assets as part of a A$300 million cost-saving strategy. The restructure, led by managing director and CEO Jayne Hrdlicka, will transform the company’s Pinnacle Drinks manufacturing arm from a vertically integrated wine producer to an asset-light, largely sourced business. Grape production will be cut by more than 80%, with the business moving to approximately 99% flexible sourcing of purchased bulk wine and grapes. Winery operations will consolidate from seven sites to three.
