Diageo’s India business is growing at double-digit rates in the premium segment

United Spirits Limited, Diageo’s Indian subsidiary and India’s largest alcoholic beverages company, reported first-quarter FY2027 results on 22 July 2026 showing standalone net profit of ₹391 crore – a 51.6% increase on the ₹258 crore reported for the same quarter of the prior year. Revenue from operations grew 5.1% year on year to ₹6,113 crore. The growth was driven by the premium portfolio: net sales in the Prestige and Above segment grew 10.1% year on year, and premium brands accounted for 91.7% of United Spirits’ net sales during the quarter.
