Corby has sold Lamb’s rum, splitting the brand between a Canadian distributor and France’s La Martiniquaise-Bardinet

Corby Spirit and Wine Limited has sold the Lamb’s rum brand, splitting the rights geographically between two buyers. Phildan, part of Canada’s Dandurand Group, has acquired the North American rights to Lamb’s. Cofepp – the parent company of French spirits group La Martiniquaise-Bardinet – has acquired the rights for the rest of the world. Corby and its affiliates will provide post-closing production and distribution support to both buyers while they establish their operations. The deal is subject to customary closing adjustments. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is reported at approximately £20 million, though this figure has not been confirmed by the parties.
