Carlsberg and Sapporo Breweries have agreed to form a joint venture covering their beer operations across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, with Sapporo investing $643 million for a 25% stake. Carlsberg will hold 75% of the Singapore-based venture and retain full operational control. The transaction is expected to complete in December 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Carlsberg confirmed it intends to use the $643 million cash consideration to repay debt and for general corporate purposes.
