Moonshine University, the Louisville-based spirits education and distillery training institution, has announced it will close after 14 years of operation. The closure ends a programme that trained more than 4,000 students across craft distilling courses, blending workshops, and professional spirits education. Moonshine University was founded in 2012 by Flavorman, the Louisville-based beverage development company, and operated as a dedicated training facility for the spirits industry at a time when the American craft distilling movement was expanding rapidly. No date for the final day of operations has been confirmed in the initial announcement.
